4 major reasons to attend Leeds Festival 2024

Not sure if a festival is your thing? Well we’ve decided to put together a short list of reasons why Leeds Festival 2024 is well worth attending. Read below 4 reasons to attend the August bank holiday bash!

1. Save money on tickets

Firstly and most obviously, the music is the biggest reason why you would want to attend a MUSIC festival. When the line-up gets confirmed closer to the time of the festival, there is likely to be several acts you will want to see live. The great thing about a festival is that instead of seeing all these bands individually, you get to tick them off in one weekend which will most likely end up saving you money when you take into account booking fees, transport etc to individual gigs.

So this is probably one of the most practical reasons why going to Leeds Festival is a good idea – it could potentially save you a ton of money, especially if you go to the main stages and check out the big bands that are touring at that point.

2. Find new bands

With so many bands playing Leeds Festival across so many stages, it’s pretty much impossible to have heard them all before. That’s another great thing about going, you are very likely to find new bands that you enjoy listening to. For example, sometimes when the acts on the main stage aren’t your bag, try checking out some of the smaller stages where there will be plenty of up-and-coming bands that are well worth listening to.

I have had some of the best experiences going to watch bands I’d never heard of before instead of sticking to the big names on the main stages.

3. The experience

Going to a music festival is one of the best experiences there is. The summer months usually bring some better weather and what better way to spend those days than camped in a field with your mates, watching some of the best bands out there. If you have never been to Leeds Festival and have an interest in music then its definitely something to tick off your bucket list.

As well as the live music there are other forms of entertainment too such as the silent disco and various comedy act appearances. There are rumours of big changes happening at the 2024 bash as well, so that’s another incentive.

Festivals really are a fantastic experience and something everyone should try at least once! Hell, if you don’t even go for the music there will still be plenty going on to keep you entertained. Some would argue that hanging out with your mates in the camping area is worth the ticket price alone!

4. See bands you couldn’t normally see

We’ve already said that a visit to Leeds Festival could save you some pocket money, but what if the bands you want to see live are impossible to get tickets for, unaffordable or just not touring full stop? That’s a massive reason why Leeds Festival could be worth a visit.

It attracts some of the biggest bands in the World and you can tick off several of them in ONE WEEKEND! Imagine for example that Rage Against the Machine announce a headliner slot – there is really no other way that you are going to be able to see that band.

If the band are touring they may only appear in major cities like London and Manchester. If you don’t live near those then getting to them is expensive and in some cases impossible, especially in the week. So attending Leeds Festival 2024 could mean that you see bands that usually would be very very difficult to get tickets for!
